When and where is the Southend 10K?

1 October 2023 at Southchurch Park East, Lifstan Way, Southend on Sea Essex, SS1 2XD.

What time does the 10K race start?

10.00am

Is there any car parking?

Yes, there is some parking at Southchurch Park East, but please car share or use public transport, where possible.

Where is the nearest Railway Station?

Southend East on the c2C London Fenchurch Street Line, which is about a 15 minute walk from the race HQ

From when and where do I collect my race number and chip?

From 8.00am until 9.30am on RACE DAY  from race HQ at Southchurch Park East.

What is the minimum age for running the 10K?

15 Years old on the day of the race.

Is there a baggage store?

Yes, there is a baggage store, but items are left at the runners own risk.

Each runner will be provided with a label, on which to write your race number and then attach to your bag, before handing in to the baggage store.

Can I run with my dog?

No, for safety reasons, no animals are allowed on the course.

Can I wear roller skates or be accompanied by someone on a bike?

No, for safety reasons, no wheels are allowed on the course.

Are there any toilets on the course?

Yes, but only on the 10K course, where there are public toilets near to the 3K and 6K points.

'If I'm unable to run, can I get a refund, transfer my place to another person or defer it to next year?

No, unfortunately, our policy is one of no refunds, transfers or deferrals.

Can I wear headphones?

The wearing of headphones, or similar devices, is only permitted where runners are able to hear marshals’ instructions and is at the runner’s own risk.

Are there medals for finishers?

Yes, all finishers will receive a quality medal.

Can I raise money for my own charity?

Yes, although Havens Hospices is the nominated charity of the Southend 10K and we would encourage you to support that cause. You are however free to raise money for an alternative charity of your choice.
